Location

The house is on the South side of Woolwich Rd, just down and opposite from the fire station. You're about a ten minute walk from both Westcombe Park and Charlton train stations. Greenwich is about 20-30 minutes away on foot (straight line down the main road) and a single bus-ride away.

Being a main road, you can't park outside, but you can park around the corner without a permit. This isn't always easy of course, depending on the time of day.

If you cross the road and walk straight towards the river, you find yourself at Asda and the other shops on the Charlton retail estate. There are plenty of retail/industrial outlets nearby.

Nearest park is the Greenwich Pleasaunce, a small park that used to be a graveyard (stones still there) a little over 10 minutes away.

There's been some talk about redeveloping the warehouses a little further up the hill. This triggered some concern over the already tricky parking.
